Tower of Fantasy - 5 Must Know Secret Tips For New Players. 5 Tips And Tricks
Nucleus farming
If you just started playing Tower of Fantasy, I have some incredibly helpful tips to give you for your journey. I know the number one spot is nuclei. The tutorial teaches you what these are, but it doesn't tell you how you can get them in tons of different ways. black and gold nuclei. They're all over the map, and you'll run into tons of them as you explore.
You may or may not have noticed already, but on the map you'll find tons of different icons, and the diamond icon marks the existence of a nucleus that's hidden within a mechanic, like tar pits, kerosene plants, lava pits, and dandelions. Glosh rooms rock with singularity chow chows, earth fights, and omnium.
Pillar induction plates If you run into a tar pit or kerosene plant, you can use any fire weapon to melt it away and reveal a black or gold nucleus. If you happen to come across a lava pit, you can use ice weapons to clear it out for the same thing. Dandelions will be all over the world and you can basically just smack them once with anything to make the flowers come off.
One of them will generally have a nucleus in it. You just have to go up and hit it. If you ever come across gloss rooms, you can jump on them in the order of smallest to largest, and they'll spawn a nucleus. For you now see one of those statues holding a giant metal sphere, that is singularity. They are rocks, and by using the strange cube relic, you can force them away.
All you do is get close to them, use the relic, and they will go flying. You can get the strange cube at the start of Ruin A2, easy mode. They look like big blue flowers on the ground, and they're usually hungry. If you throw a water core into the center of one when it's ready to produce a nucleus, it'll consume it and spit it out.
Earth fights are tiny plants that have a color inside of them. When you see one, you'll need to find a ball with similar colors to toss into it, where it'll close up and spawn a nucleus for you. These ones are a bit tougher because you'll have to find the ball itself, but they're fairly simple overall.
Lastly, the omnium, pillar induction, and plates are super easy. You'll just use the omnium hand cannon to put a pillar on the plate and it'll spot a reward for you. To get the omnium hand cannon, you'll just have to clear out the ruin. A3, the Black Nuclei, and Gotcha may not have guarantees, but they can definitely get you some valuable weapons, and completing these mini challenges can be super beneficial to your account.
Queue skipping/teleport cheats
The second must-know tip for the new tower Fantasy players deal with teleportation and changing channels or lines. There's a cooldown right after you switch from one line to another, so if you're trying to play with friends and then they end up switching over and you've already swapped to play with them, you may be worried about not being able to transfer, but there's actually a workaround.
All you have to do is join a party with your friend, give them party leadership, and click on this little icon, right above the leave party option. Not only will it teleport you to them, but it will also change your line, for instance, to be the exact same one as theirs. When that happens, you should be able to see him when you get there.
You can also completely dodge the cooldown, making it super easy to use when you need it and allowing you to cheat the system a little bit. Fingers crossed that this one doesn't get patched. I don't think it will, but in the meantime, use it while you can.
Team comp/stats/shields
this next tip is about combat mechanics and stats, and it's incredibly important for those looking to understand Tower of Fantasy combat. An elementless shield is just a regular shield, but each type of shield will resist a certain element or damage type. For example, when you look at a weapon, you'll see a shatter and charge value.
Your shatter scaling directly affects how well weapons deal with shields. For example, Echo's thunderous halberd has an s scaling on shatter, which means that its shatter value is generally going to be better than other characters'. These values can increase with weapon upgrades and make it even easier for you to break shields when you kit out your character.
Elemental coverage is great, but you'll also want to have a shield breaking weapon, a dps weapon, and a support healing or buffing weapon to cover all your bases. This is the standard loadout. Obviously, this can change depending on what content you're doing. If you're doing group content, having a shield breaking weapon, a dps weapon, and a support weapon can be very helpful for your travels.
You'll also notice a charge value below the shatter one. This is essentially how fast you build up your ultimate meter for your other weapons, or in tower fantasy terms, your discharge. Attack weapons with a higher value can make your alt charge up faster and, overall, add a lot of depth to combat in this game. Understanding combat in weapon stats can greatly enhance your experience with the game and make you look like a pro.
Hidden weapon combos
By now, you've probably noticed that this game has some cool weapon and movement combos, and you've probably also noticed that they're not super easy to find. Luckily, they are actually in the game.
You just kind of have to look for them. If you look under your map first, you might find that you have mail. I don't know why it took me so long to find that over on the left you'll find this exclamation. Point This is your survival guide, and it shows you a bunch of tips and tutorials for various parts of the game.
If you scroll down, you'll find a category called "weapon skill," where you can see combos for every attack on all of the weapon types. When I found this portion of the survival guide, I was pretty surprised to find out there were certain attacks I'd never even used. Most of these attacks are as described, but there are a couple of discrepancies.
Like with Rosy Edge, the Frost Greatsword, both Crescent Slash and Devastate have the same instructions, but one of them does not work as shown. One of the attacks is done by holding a direction while dashing and attacking, but there's another attack where if you dodge or backstep without holding a directional key, then follow up with an attack, you'll hit the ground and create three frost flashes.
This is likely due to them not having an icon for dodge specifically, only dash, but they are two different attacks. Overall, this is a super helpful tool for learning your weapons, and it will be even more helpful as new simulacas are released and as the game continues.
Movement techs
This fifth tip is more like a few different tips, but it can really help you with world traversal. Relics are super helpful for traveling, including the omnium hand cannon, which can create a pillar to help you scale greater heights and give you a place to recover your stamina on the way up.
