Roblox - Voice Chat Full Setup Tutorial. How To Setup Fast & Easy
Today's article is going to be the full setup guide on how to enable Roblox voice chat. Yes, voice chat is now in its public beta release, which means many Robux players can now use it if you are over the age of 13. Before we begin the tutorial, there are a few things that you will need. 1 a Roblox account that is 13 or plus If your account is under 13, this will not work.
You must also have a smartphone. Android and Apple devices are both supported. You will also need some type of identification. For example, a driver's license, a passport, and a residence permit. A few people are asking me about student IDs. I don't know if that will work, but if you want to try it, then honestly, it's worth a try.
I will update the description if I find out if student ids work or not. Yep, that's it, so let's go on to Roblox. Let's set up voice chat here. We are on the Roblox website. As you guys can see, my account is 13+ and all I need to do is just click on the Roblox settings icon and then select settings.
By now you guys might be seeing that many people are enabling voice chat in their privacy tab, and as you can see, for me the option is not here, and that's because we need to verify our age before we can use it. It's then going to come up and say identity and verification. Verify your age to get the most out of Roblox.
Prepare a valid ID (driver's license, passport, ID card, residence permits If you use a smartphone, you need a smartphone in order to continue, so let's go ahead. Let me grab my iPhone and I'm going to scan the QR code with my iPhone's camera app. I would have recorded it, but I probably would have filled up my entire phone storage.
Yeah, this took me about 10 minutes of waiting. I know, kind of annoying. Then, once your camera app is open, go ahead and scan the QR code. Obviously, I have to censor mine, but it's going to pop up at the top saying open Roblox. Com in Safari, and then it's going to bring you to this page. First of all, it's going to take a little bit of loading.
Then it's going to say, "Verify you've joined our queue." We are working on getting everyone verified. The estimated wait time is six minutes. Anyway, it's slowly loading. I waited six minutes, and finally, I was the number one person in the queue. And after I was the number one person, I had to wait another 10 minutes.
I know this thing takes such a long time. Anyway, I finally got to this screen and it said "Let's Get You Verified." Roblox would like to confirm your identity, a process powered by Vereth. Before you start, please prepare a valid government-issued identity document. Make sure you're in a well-lit room.
Be prepared to take a selfie and photos of your ID. Anyway, just go ahead and tap on "Start Session," and it's going to say "Roblox." I would like to access your camera. Make sure to go ahead and tap on Allow. That's the same for the iPhone and Android. You want to take a picture of your ID. For me, after taking the first picture, it said, "Sorry, we don't recognize your documents." Please make sure your document is supported, and try again.
So what I had to do was tap on "driver's license," then I went ahead and tapped "continue," and finally it let me take another picture of my driver's license. I had to take a picture of the front, and then I had to flip it over and take a picture of the back. Then it got to this part and it said, "Take a selfie." Make sure that your face is in the frame and clearly visible, so yep, I had to take a picture of my ugly mug and then I sent it off to Roblox.
Finally it got to this section: uploading your photos, checking for errors, and sending your data for verification. Upon verifying your verification, times may vary. Sit back and relax or continue to another webpage. You'll be notified as soon as the final decision is made. And yeah, if you looked at your Robux settings, it also said this identity verification.
