Minecraft - 8 Super Rare Mobs (and Why You Need Them)
It's me, Waddles mobs. They not only make your world feel a little bit more alive, but if you know how to use them, they could be super useful too. In today's article we're going to take a look at some of the rarest mobs in Minecraft, how to find them, and some great uses for them too, so you know how it goes.
Leave a like for good luck this entire month. Just trust me. Just trust me. What do you get when you cross one of the most underappreciated minecraft mobs of all time with a complete and utter waste of life and space? Well, of course you get a mule. Here's a fun fact for you mules. Yeah, so considering the fact that horses and donkeys are pretty underappreciated and completely ignored, and I add in the fact that you're going to need very expensive food to pull this off consider all of that and I'm willing to bet that at least one of you here has never created a mule in survival minecraft.
Now, the mule, why in the world would you create one of these things? Well, there comes a friendship. If you create a mule, you'll finally have a friend in your world. Okay, no, but actually transportation. If you want to travel around the world and not use up any hunger, then the mule is great for this.
I'll be honest, the mule is not great for this. The horse is faster, but check this out: one thing a horse can't do. We have a mule walking around with a chest in hand. I use the chest on the mule, and the chest is inside of the mule. Okay, nowhere near as strong as a horse, nowhere near as fast as, nowhere nearly as cool looking as a horse, but you can store things inside of it and that makes it kind of cool to check out our next mob.
Today we will need to head over to a complete and utter frozen wasteland known as the snowy. Well, well known as one of these three biomes, or on bedrock edition, one of these five biomes. I'm over at the snowy plains bomb right now, and all of a sudden it's midnight. However, you'll find these frozen cold skeletons called the straight.
Now I've got to admit, if you spend a lot of time inside of these cold biomes, the sun is not very uncommon for you. 80 percent of skeletons that spawn under the night sky in one of those three or five cold biomes die when the chance of the spawn is destroyed. You're going to have to stick to the surface.
They won't spawn in the caves, and actually, the frozen peaks and things like that, they won't spawn there either. You know, a hostile mob, and it's going to be kind of hard to actually use the stray, but you can farm it. If you farm the stream, like, repeatedly taking these things out, you're going to start to rack up arrows of slowness.
This one does come with one more little extra catch. If you are playing the game nowadays and you have access to powder snow, you can actually convert skeletons into stripes by dropping them inside of the powder snow and waiting. Once the skeleton turns into a stray, it's a real stray, meaning that once this thing freezes for long enough and actually turns into a stray, if you take it out, you have the chance to actually get those real stray drops.
There's a good chance you already knew about both of those mobs, but things will get more rare. That will ensure that I'll be able to judge you mercilessly. All right, let's move on. Let's hang around inside of this frozen bottom for one more mob because this next mom is also found here, except this time we're looking at two specific cold biomes.
One of them is right over here, the snowy tiger. The other one is actually going to be a mountain bomb in the grove. As part of the Minecraft 1.14 update, village and pillage boxes were added to the game. Now the plain old box shouldn't be too tricky to find. Just find a tiger biome and I'm sure you'll find some.
However, the snowy tiger, I mean, that's one specific biome. There's definitely a little bit more of a niche if you're able to find a snowy tiger running around in this biome before the wolves do run around, or maybe more so, sneak around inside of this biome and look for the arctic fox. Snowy foxes will spawn naturally inside the snowy tiger.
Now these foxes are going to be pretty tricky to find because they camouflage, like super well, and also, as soon as they hear noise, they kind of start to take off and just run from you. Yeah, catching up on these things might be a little bit tricky. If you thought maybe bringing two normal foxes over to a cold bottom would work, you could just breed them up and the baby would be cold.
Yeah, that's not going to work either. You need a snowy fox to get a snowy fox. But there is good news for you if you have normal foxes. You're good still. both behaviorally and mechanically. The Arctic fox The orange box They're exactly the same as those used for the fox. Okay, so at first you probably think the fox is maybe not very useful, but that's wrong, that's actually completely wrong, The arctic box and, in turn, the other fox can be used to harvest berries.
I put a couple more boxes inside of this pen and let them walk around. They should notice that there are berries actually growing inside of this thing. They will eat the berries and they will harvest the berries for you. A berry farm is complete with an absolutely adorable, potentially pretty rare Minecraft mob.
So we've all heard of the Minecraft frog, and depending on who you are, you might be kind of sick of hearing about this thing by now because we talked about it a lot in the past few months. If that's you, well, bad news because we're going to talk about it a little bit more. One of the rarest mobs in Minecraft 1.19 is actually going to come from these guys, so step one is to go into your world and find frogs.
The color of the frog doesn't matter at all; just find the frogs. Then take the frogs and bring them over to one of the coldest biomes in the entire game. Go ahead, take the lead, or don't give them slime balls. Romantic staring session and then over to water. These tadpoles seem to be taking their good old time, so watch this boom, the magic tadpole right there again with the whole time-taking thing.
It's something we don't really have time for, so look at that. The tadpole grew up magically into a green frog, the only frog that will not spawn naturally in your Minecraft world anywhere. The green frog The poor green frog If you want to find this thing, you're going to have to go through that hard survival grind to actually get one of these things in survival.
Getting this in survival is definitely worth it. You get the green frog in survival. Bring it to a magma cube and you get the green frog light. The green frog light is one of the only, maybe even the only green-toned lights in the entire game. If you're working on an earth-themed build, this is the frog light for you.
